Mom shot dead while on the phone with 911

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A terrifying murder-suicide incident recently transpired in San Antonio, with its initial revelations sounded over a phone call to the police, said Police Chief William McManus. During the call, a woman’s voice was heard saying, “I’ve been shot,” followed by the sounds of two distinct gunshots.

In response to this alarming distress call, local law enforcement officers were quickly rushed to Palo Alto Apartments, situated in the 10100 block of State Highway 16. Upon their arrival, they discovered the deceased body of the woman who made the call to 911 for help. First responders also discovered a man believed to be her assailant.

In the locked room of the apartment, officers also discovered two children, a one-year-old and a two-year-old. They were both found unharmed and are now in the care of Child Protective Services.

The incident, now a matter of investigation as a domestic violence case, has deeply saddened the community. Drawing attention to the unfortunate circumstances, where help regarding abusive relationships was available yet seemingly unused, Police Chief McManus expressed his sorrow.

In the aftermath of the incident, further inquiries are being undertaken to ascertain the relationship between the deceased individuals. As of now, there are no known witnesses to the crime.
