Monster Hunter: Wilds Trailer Unveils Epic New Monsters and Gameplay – Watch Now!

Tokyo, Japan – Capcom unveiled a new trailer for Monster Hunter: Wilds, giving fans a glimpse of the highly anticipated sequel and showcasing a variety of monsters in the game. The trailer, showcased during Thursday’s State of Play stream, provided a cinematic look at the gameplay, highlighting combat mechanics and weapon types that will be featured in the game. Additionally, viewers were treated to a closer look at the Windward Plains biome, filled with sandstorms.

Among the monsters revealed in the trailer are the Dalthydon, described as an herbivorous wyvern with a unique seasonal migration pattern, and the Ceratonoth, known for traveling in herds and using their lightning rod-like dorsal horns to protect themselves from sandstorms. Notable creatures like the fanged Doshaguma and the Chatacabra, with its long tongue and peculiar saliva, were also showcased. The trailer also confirmed the return of the Rathalos, a fan-favorite monster from previous games.

In Monster Hunter: Wilds, players will embark on a journey with a Research Commission team to explore the Forbidden Lands, encountering new companions and a mysterious child with ties to the plot. The game boasts features like full voice acting, seamless transitions between story sequences and gameplay, and new mounts known as Seikrets, allowing players to perform actions such as sharpening weapons and gathering materials while on the move.

First announced during The Game Awards 2023, Monster Hunter: Wilds is set to launch on PS5, Xbox, and PC as a follow-up to the successful Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter: Rise titles. With a desert setting and the ability to team up with three other players to battle challenging creatures, the game is expected to be released sometime in 2025. Players linking their Monster Hunter: World save data can look forward to receiving special bonus items as well.
