Naked man kills Army vet in unprovoked attack

AUSTIN, TX – A man in Austin, Texas has been charged with murder following an unprovoked attack on an Army veteran, local law enforcement reported. Rahsaan Dobbins, 41, is now facing first-degree murder charges in the death of Warnero Young.

The incident occurred on February 1st, when Austin police were called to a Super 8 Motel in South Austin after receiving a distress call. Upon arrival, officers reportedly heard gunshots and witnessed Dobbins, who was unclothed, fatally shoot Young. The police department stated that officers issued commands to Dobbins, who was still holding the firearm. Dobbins eventually complied and was apprehended.

Despite emergency medical services attempting life-saving measures, Young succumbed to his injuries. According to the police, Dobbins opened his motel room door, saw Young on the stairs, and shot him. Dobbins reportedly admitted to officers that he did not see Young armed and did not know him personally.

Young’s friend, Stephanie Carrillo, told local media that Young was at the motel assisting a friend with moving. Dobbins is currently detained in the Travis County Jail with a bond set at $750,000.

To help with funeral expenses, a GoFundMe page has been set up for Young’s family. As of Tuesday morning, the page had raised over $6,000.
