Nicki Minaj Detained in Amsterdam for alleged Drug Possession – Full Story Here!

Barbados – International rapper Nicki Minaj faced a detour on her way to Manchester, England for a concert on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, as she was detained at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport over the Memorial Day weekend. Reports from BBC News revealed that Minaj was taken into custody due to the possession of weed, which is illegal in the Netherlands despite being tolerated for recreational use.

Minaj took to Instagram to express her frustration, claiming that her bags were taken before she could see them and suggesting that customs officials were intentionally delaying her. The rapper alleged that individuals associated with her security and former tour manager had planted the drugs in her luggage to sabotage her tour. One official mentioned that she was being held for carrying drugs, to which Minaj insisted on having a lawyer present before cooperating.

Despite the setback, Minaj was eventually allowed to pay a fine and continue her journey to Manchester for the scheduled concert at the Co-op Live arena. The police in Amsterdam did not identify the person arrested but confirmed the apprehension of a 41-year-old American woman for possession of soft drugs.

Social media saw a flurry of posts from Minaj detailing the incident, including videos of the encounter at the airport. The rapper’s tardiness for the concert on Saturday night did not seem to surprise fans, as she has a history of being fashionably late for her shows. Nonetheless, Minaj managed to make it to the performance, keeping her fans entertained despite the minor hiccup during her travels.
