Paramount Pushes “Avatar: The Last Airbender” Release to 2026 – New Details Revealed!

Los Angeles, California – Fans of the beloved animated series “Avatar: The Last Airbender” will have to wait a bit longer for the highly anticipated spinoff movie, as Paramount has announced a delay in its release date to January 20, 2026. Originally set for October 10, 2025, the film will feature a star-studded voice cast including Dave Bautista and Eric Nam.

Directed by Lauren Montgomery, who previously worked on the original television show, and William Mata, the “Avatar: The Last Airbender” movie is a collaborative effort between Paramount and Nickelodeon Studios. Series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are also on board as executive producers for the project.

In addition to the news about the “Avatar” spinoff, Paramount has made changes to its release calendar, pushing back the premiere of “Transformers One” from September 13 to September 20, 2024. Directed by Josh Cooley of “Toy Story 4” fame, the movie is produced by industry veterans like Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg, and Zev Foreman.
