Police investigate double shooting

FORT WORTH, TX – An evening at the Shady Oaks Apartments in east Fort Worth turned violent Tuesday night when a man and woman were shot, according to police.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 9:13 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult man with multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and a woman who had been shot in the hip. The man is reported to be in stable condition, while the woman remains in critical condition.

The victims recounted to officers that an unidentified man approached them and opened fire before fleeing the scene. This incident marks the second shooting at the Shady Oaks Apartments in the past week. On May 17, a rideshare driver named Shawali Sherali was fatally shot nearby.

As of now, no suspects have been apprehended. The Fort Worth police gang unit has taken over the investigation, seeking to uncover the motive and identify the shooter responsible for this latest act of violence.
