Police seeking a couple who ran over a server with their car

KEEGO HARBOR, MI – Authorities in Michigan have initiated a manhunt for a couple who allegedly assaulted a restaurant worker following a disagreement over their bill. The incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. last Friday at El Camino Restaurant in Keego Harbor.

The suspects, believed to be in their late 50s, reportedly quarreled with the staff over their service and food quality. Subsequently, they left the establishment without settling their full bill. The couple then entered their vehicle, a 2005-09 Mercedes C-class equipped with later-generation wheels, and attempted to drive off.

The server, in an attempt to resolve the issue, ran out to confront the couple. The police report indicates that the couple responded with laughter when the server demanded payment for the remaining bill. The vehicle was momentarily stopped with the server standing in front of it.

The driver of the Mercedes then reversed, bypassing the server who had positioned herself in front of the vehicle once again. The driver knocked her down, ran over her legs, and fled the scene, heading southwest on Orchard Lake Road towards Orchard Lake city.

The server was subsequently rushed to a local hospital where she is expected to recover from her injuries. The Keego Harbor Police Department has yet to disclose the charges the couple will face upon apprehension. They are urging anyone with information regarding the identity of the couple to contact them.
