**Prince William** Visits Housing Project in Cornwall Solo After Princess Kate’s Cancer Diagnosis – See Photos!

London, England – Prince William embarked on his first solo overnight trip to Cornwall after Princess Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis. The Duke of Cornwall visited Newquay to observe a new housing project aimed at supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. Built by local architects, the project will provide 24 living spaces and opportunities for permanent housing, with construction slated to commence in the fall.

Sporting a dapper navy suit paired with a light blue button-down shirt, William showcased a warm smile as he engaged with the coordinators of the innovative housing initiative. Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, William and Kate inherited the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cornwall in September 2022. This trip marked William’s inaugural visit to Cornwall since assuming the new roles.

In a display of continued support, Kate did not accompany William on this trip as she focused on her recovery journey. The Duchess revealed her cancer diagnosis in March after undergoing abdominal surgery, leading to a pause in her royal engagements since December 2023. During this challenging time, William adjusted his responsibilities to manage more childcare duties at home to support Kate.

While slowly resuming his official duties, William planned to spend the night away from London on the Isles of Scilly to meet with hospital staff and St Mary’s Harbour operators. As William gradually resumes his busy schedule, reports indicated that he and Kate would likely miss the upcoming BAFTA TV Awards. Instead, William is set to deliver a video message for the event on May 12.

As the President of BAFTA, William had previously attended the organization’s film awards without Kate by his side, expressing her love for the BAFTAs. With Kate’s return to royal duties dependent on medical clearance, Buckingham Palace affirmed their support for her full recovery and emphasized William’s commitment to balancing family support and official obligations.
