Raiders’ New Offensive Coordinator Andrew Janocko: The Game-Changer Behind Super Bowl Stars!

HENDERSON, Nev. — The Las Vegas Raiders have named Andrew Janocko as their new offensive coordinator, a pivotal move aimed at enhancing the team’s offensive strategy for the upcoming season.

Janocko joins the Raiders after a successful tenure as the quarterbacks coach for the Seattle Seahawks, where he played a key role in the team’s recent Super Bowl victory. He skillfully guided quarterback Sam Darnold, who not only achieved his second consecutive Pro Bowl selection but also set career highs in completion percentage and passing yards during the 2025 season.

With a coaching career spanning 14 years, including 12 in the NFL, Janocko has demonstrated his ability to develop quarterbacks effectively. Prior to his time in Seattle, he spent a season with the New Orleans Saints, where he mentored Derek Carr, helping him achieve impressive statistics while maintaining a high passer rating that ranked among the league’s best.

Janocko’s experience is further enriched by his earlier positions with the Chicago Bears, where he helped mold Justin Fields into a formidable NFL quarterback. Under Janocko’s guidance, Fields delivered two dynamic seasons, breaking several records and leading the Bears to significant improvement in their win total. Fields achieved remarkable milestones, including being one of only three quarterbacks to rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season.

Before arriving in Chicago, Janocko was a member of the Minnesota Vikings coaching staff for seven seasons. He held various roles, from coaching the offensive line to guiding wide receivers and quarterbacks. His versatility was pivotal in the development of star players like Kirk Cousins and rookie sensation Justin Jefferson, whom he helped achieve a historic receiving season.

During his time with the Vikings, Janocko saw the offensive line achieve noteworthy statistics, helping drive the team’s performance to new heights and contributing to significant rushing milestones, particularly with running back Dalvin Cook.

Janocko’s coaching journey began at the collegiate level, where he first made an impact with Mercyhurst University before transitioning to the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an offensive assistant. His extensive background and strategic acumen will be key assets for the Raiders as they look to enhance their offensive capabilities in the league.

A native of Clearfield, Pennsylvania, Janocko has a rich football heritage, having played as a quarterback at the University of Pittsburgh. With a strong educational background and deep ties to the sport, he is poised to bring a fresh perspective to the Raiders’ offensive lineup.

Janocko lives in the area with his wife, Natalie, and their two children, Noah and Isabella, as he embarks on this new chapter in his coaching career. His leadership is anticipated to be a driving force in transforming the Raiders’ offense in the seasons ahead.
