Revenge Porn DJ Diplo Sued Again: Shocking New Accusations Emerge

Los Angeles, California – DJ and producer Diplo is facing legal trouble once again as he has been sued for distributing revenge porn, making it the second accusation of this nature against him in less than a year. The lawsuit, filed in California, alleges that an unidentified woman, known as Jane Doe, had an intimate relationship with Diplo from 2016 to 2023, during which he allegedly shared images and videos of their sexual interactions without her consent.

According to the lawsuit, Doe met Diplo on Snapchat in 2016 and began a relationship with him that lasted for several years. However, in November of the previous year, she discovered that he had been distributing explicit content of her without her permission. Doe claims that she had explicitly told Diplo that she did not want him to film or share any images or videos of her without her consent.

This is not the first time Diplo has been accused of disseminating revenge porn. In a previous incident in 2020, a woman named Shelly Auguste accused him of sexually assaulting her and distributing explicit content without her consent. Diplo responded with a suit of his own, calling her a “stalker.” Auguste filed another report in August 2023, alleging that Diplo had shared nude photographs of her. The case was subsequently submitted to the Los Angeles attorney’s office for review.

Jane Doe’s attorney, Helene Weiss, emphasized the harm caused by Diplo’s alleged actions, stating that these behaviors must be condemned and the perpetrators held accountable. Micha Liberty of Liberty Law also condemned revenge pornography as a violation of privacy and trust, highlighting the need for justice and protection of victims. Margaret E. Mabie, partner at Marsh Law Firm, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of supporting survivors and seeking civil justice.

The lawsuit against Diplo serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing issues of privacy violation and abuse in relationships, particularly within the entertainment industry. Through legal action and advocacy, victims of revenge porn can seek justice and raise awareness about these harmful behaviors. The case against Diplo also reflects a cultural shift towards holding perpetrators accountable for their actions and supporting those who have been exploited.
