Samsung Flagship Phones Getting AI Upgrade: S21, S22, Fold, Flip, Tab Upgrades Coming Soon

Seoul, South Korea – Samsung is set to roll out the One UI 6.1 update next month, introducing select Galaxy AI features to older flagship phones and tablets. This move will allow users of 2021 and 2022 devices to experience some of the latest enhancements without having to upgrade to newer models.

According to sources familiar with Samsung’s plans, a scaled-down version of Galaxy AI will be available for the S22, S22 Plus, S22 Ultra, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Tab S8, and Tab S8 Ultra. These devices will receive similar AI capabilities as the more affordable Galaxy S23 FE. Notably, the Instant Slow-Mo feature, which automatically slows down videos upon tapping, will be included in the update for these devices.

For owners of 2021 flagship Samsung phones, the upcoming update will also bring two additional Galaxy AI features – Circle to Search and Magic Rewrite – to the S21, S21 Plus, S21 Ultra, Flip 3, and Fold 3. This promises to enhance the user experience and provide new functionalities to older devices, aligning them closer to the capabilities of more recent releases.

The decision to extend these AI features to older devices reflects Samsung’s commitment to ensuring that users across various product ranges can benefit from the latest advancements in technology. By making these features available through software updates, Samsung is not only improving the longevity of its devices but also enhancing customer satisfaction by bringing new functionalities to existing users.

While specific details about the rollout and availability of the One UI 6.1 update have yet to be confirmed officially by Samsung, the anticipation for these features is already generating excitement among Samsung device owners. As technology continues to evolve rapidly, updates like these help ensure that users can enjoy cutting-edge features without the need for frequent hardware upgrades.
