Shooting leaves 4-year-old girl dead, 4 others injured

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A devastating shooting incident in the Northeast Side region of San Antonio claimed the life of a 4-year-old girl and left four other individuals in critical condition. The horrific episode took place Wednesday evening just off Windsor Hollow Drive, near the intersection of Wazlem Road and Windsor Oaks.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar stated that of the five critically injured victims rushed to the hospital, three were children, aged 7 and 8, besides the deceased. Two adults were also among those critically wounded. He further revealed video footage that shows a grey car arrived at the location, from which two men emerged, armed with long rifles, and opened fire at the house. It is believed they fired between 20 and 25 shots, leaving a slew of bullet holes in the house’s front door.

Sheriff Salazar drew a grim picture, suggesting these individuals likely knew that children were in the house when they committed the shooting. He presented the possibility of upgrading the charges to capital murder if any of the children succumb to their injuries.

Additionally, deputies believe that one victim may have been texting with one of the shooters prior to the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is urging the public to come forward with any information regarding the shooting.
