The footage offers a first-person perspective of the capsule’s separation from its carrier satellite in orbit, its intense reentry through the Earth’s atmosphere, and the rough landing it made at the Utah Test and Training Range on February 21st.
The W-1 capsule had spent approximately eight months in low Earth orbit before making its historic return to the military site in Utah. Following the capsule’s successful return, the ritonavir crystals that were grown in orbit will now be analyzed by Improved Pharma, a pharmaceutical company based in Indiana.
