Stabbed Makeup Artist Survives Brutal Attack by Ex-Boyfriend: Shehorn’s Miraculous Story of Survival and Recovery

Los Angeles, California – Veteran makeup artist Allie Shehorn was brutally attacked by her ex-boyfriend, suffering more than 20 stab wounds on May 23. The assault left her with severe injuries to her neck, arms, and abdomen, requiring multiple surgeries. Despite the vicious attack, she managed to survive before being rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

Christine White, Shehorn’s surrogate mother, discovered her bleeding and injured at approximately 4:30 a.m. following the attack. White described the scene as disturbing and heartbreaking, emphasizing the severity of Shehorn’s condition.

Shehorn, known for her work on various film and television projects, including “Rebel Moon,” “Babylon,” and the recent “Mean Girls” remake, remains in critical condition post-surgery. Her friend Jed Dornoff shared that she has limited use of her hands due to the injuries sustained during the attack. Despite the challenges, a photo of Shehorn in the hospital with White showed a surprisingly positive outlook.

The alleged assailant, whom Shehorn had recently obtained a restraining order against for domestic violence, fled the state after the attack. He was later apprehended in Texas near the Mexican border by law enforcement. Reports suggest that the attacker was a background actor whom Shehorn had met on the set of “Rebel Moon.”

In response to the incident, friends of Shehorn have set up a GoFundMe page to assist with her medical expenses and forthcoming rehabilitation. The support from the community highlights the impact Shehorn has made as a member of the IATSE 706 Makeup Artists & Hair Stylists Guild.

The harrowing ordeal faced by Allie Shehorn shines a light on the importance of addressing domestic violence and supporting victims in their recovery. Despite the challenges ahead, Shehorn’s resilience and the outpouring of support from friends and well-wishers demonstrate the strength of community in times of crisis. It serves as a sobering reminder of the prevalence of intimate partner violence and the need for ongoing efforts to prevent such tragic incidents from occurring.
