Star-Studded Cast Revealed for 28 Years Later Trilogy Sequel with Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Ralph Fiennes!

London, UK – The highly anticipated “28 Years Later” trilogy, directed by Danny Boyle and produced by Sony Pictures, has recently announced its star-studded cast. Sources report that Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Ralph Fiennes have all signed on for the first installment, which serves as a sequel to the original “28 Days Later.”

Boyle will be at the helm of the first movie, with Alex Garland penning the script. The global theatrical release of the film will be handled by Sony Pictures. While specific plot details remain scarce, the original “28 Days Later” released in 2002 followed the story of a bicycle courier who awakens from a coma to a world overrun by zombies due to a virus outbreak. The success of the film led to a sequel in 2007, titled “28 Weeks Later,” in which Boyle and Garland served as executive producers.

Recently, it was revealed that Nia DaCosta, known for directing “Candyman,” will be directing the second part of the trilogy. The studio plans to shoot both films back to back, demonstrating a commitment to a star-studded cast with the addition of Comer, Taylor-Johnson, and Fiennes.

Boyle, Garland, and original producer Andrew Macdonald, along with Peter Rice and Bernie Bellew, are on board to produce “28 Years Later.” Additionally, Cillian Murphy will also return as an executive producer, adding to the star power behind the project.

For Comer, known for her award-winning role in “Killing Eve,” the “28 Years Later” project adds to her growing list of film credits, including “Free Guy” and “The Last Duel.” Meanwhile, Taylor-Johnson’s collaboration with Sony continues, following his role in “Bullet Train” and the upcoming Marvel film “Kraven the Hunter.”

Fiennes, currently wrapping up a successful run of the play “Macbeth,” has two films set for release in the coming months, including “Conclave” and “The Return.” The trio of talented actors brings diversity and experience to the “28 Years Later” trilogy cast.

As production for the trilogy moves forward, Comer is represented by Independent Talent Group, WME, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole, while Fiennes is represented by 42 and CAA. Taylor-Johnson is represented by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, and David Weber, showcasing the stellar lineup of talent involved in the project.
