Super heavy machine detaches from trailer and crushes car killing two people

TEMPLE, TX – A tragic accident in Texas on Saturday has resulted in the death of two individuals and left another in critical condition. The incident occurred when a massive piece of equipment, weighing an estimated 350,000 pounds, detached from a trailer and crushed a vehicle, trapping its occupants.

The Temple Fire and Rescue team reported that they were alerted to a collision on State Highway 36, west of Highway 317, shortly before 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle pinned under an enormous load that had slipped from its trailer.

The authorities have yet to reveal the nature of the gargantuan equipment being transported. Three people were found trapped inside the vehicle. Two of the passengers succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the third was extricated and airlifted to a nearby hospital with severe injuries.

The rescue operation, which involved the extrication of the driver, took over four hours. Temple Fire and Rescue deployed ten units and 25 personnel to assist in the response to the collision.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation, and the identities of the victims have not been disclosed to the public.
