The film, originally titled “Superman: Legacy,” has now been simplified to just “Superman.” Gunn expressed his excitement in a social media post, coinciding with Superman’s birthday. The director shared a close-up of his version of the iconic superhero costume, hinting at a fresh take on the beloved character.

The cast includes David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as the antagonist Lex Luthor. Gunn’s ensemble also features Skyler Gisondo, Anthony Carrigan, Edi Gathegi, Nathan Fillon, Isabela Mercad, and more, promising a diverse and talented lineup.

In a recent Instagram post, Gunn unveiled the first cast photo following a table read of the script in Atlanta. Brosnahan, reflecting on the experience, described it as thrilling to hear Gunn’s words come to life. The table read brought the actors together, setting the stage for an exciting production ahead.
