Teen girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert charged with murder

DALLAS, TX – A teenage girl from Texas, who was previously the focus of an Amber Alert, has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 21-year-old male, according to local law enforcement. The police are still on the hunt for another suspect involved in the case.

The Garland Police Department, located in a Dallas suburb, identified two individuals as persons of interest in the murder of Arturo Pena, a resident of Mesquite, which occurred on August 29. Arrest warrants were issued for Natalie Navarro, 17, and Yordy Martinez, 21, on charges of murder.

Navarro, who was the subject of an Amber Alert following her disappearance from an apartment complex, was later located by law enforcement officials. She is currently in custody and has been confirmed to be safe.

Martinez, however, remains at large and is wanted on murder charges. The police have not released any additional details about his whereabouts or potential involvement in the crime.

The investigation into Pena’s death is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The circumstances surrounding the murder, as well as the relationship between the suspects and the victim, have not been disclosed.
