Teen murdered by 14-year-old suspect in deadly stabbing

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA – A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murder for a stabbing incident in Annandale, Virginia. The stabbing resulted in the death of a 17-year-old and injuries to an 18-year-old, according to Fairfax County police.

The incident took place on January 13. Authorities say an altercation broke out during which the 14-year-old allegedly stabbed the 17-year-old. In the ensuing chaos, the younger teen reportedly lost control of the knife, injuring himself and wounding an 18-year-old who attempted to intervene.

Once alerted, police discovered the mortally wounded 17-year-old outside an apartment block on the 4200 block of Wadsworth Court around 11:30 p.m. The 14-year-old suspect was also found injured in a nearby apartment.

Both teenagers were immediately taken to a local hospital. The 17-year-old victim was later pronounced dead, police said. Meanwhile, the 18-year-old victim was treated for his injuries and the 14-year-old suspect, who remains hospitalized, has been put under police custody.
