Tesla Cybertruck Accelerator Pedal Issue Fixed: How Customers Reacted to Recalls in Recent Meetup Event

Long Beach, California – Tesla has commenced addressing issues with the Cybertruck after a recent recall linked to an accelerator pedal concern.

Following a temporary halt in Cybertruck deliveries and the cancellation of customer appointments, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall notice due to problems with the accelerator pedal. Tesla has already begun implementing fixes on several Cybertrucks in response to the recall.

In Long Beach, California, Tesla technicians worked on resolving the issue for some owners during the Cyber Takeover Cybertruck meetup event. The fix involved installing a small rivet under the pedal, which took just 35 seconds in one video demonstration.

Moreover, a Cybertruck owner in Virginia shared on Facebook that they were able to pick up their vehicle after their delivery appointment was canceled. The owner mentioned that Tesla installed a small rivet at the bottom of the accelerator pedal as a temporary solution, with plans to design and ship a new pedal to owners in the future.

Despite the delivery pause, CEO Elon Musk reassured the public that no injuries or accidents had resulted from the accelerator pedal issue, emphasizing that Tesla was exercising caution with the recall.

Meanwhile, Tesla is increasing Cybertruck production at its Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, with plans to ramp up production to 1,000 units per week. In the first quarter, the company delivered a total of 2,803 Cybertruck units, according to data from Cox Automotive.
