Texas officers looking for man who fatally shot a woman and her dog

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Authorities in Texas are engaged in a manhunt for Dmitri Humphrey, who is suspected of fatally shooting a woman and her dog. The incident occurred in Harris County on Saturday, as reported by the local Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that deputies were dispatched to a residence on E. Mossy Oaks Road following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered a woman, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to Sheriff Gonzalez, Humphrey is also believed to have shot and killed the woman’s dog. The victim, a woman in her twenties, was at the residence to assist a friend in escaping an alleged abusive relationship when she and her dog were fatally shot. Sheriff Gonzalez characterized the incident as another heartbreaking example of domestic violence.

Humphrey, who is also sought for unrelated felony warrants, is believed to have fled the scene in a white Jeep Wrangler bearing the Texas license plate TFN4278. Sheriff Gonzalez indicated that the process of filing murder charges against Humphrey is underway.

Sheriff Gonzalez issued a stern warning on Facebook, cautioning against aiding a fugitive in Texas, as it could result in charges.
