Three people shot to death at law firm

LAS VEGAS, NV – In a horrifying incident today at a suburban Las Vegas law firm, two people were fatally shot, according to reports from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). It is believed that the gunman subsequently committed suicide.

The shooting took place in a law office situated in Summerlin, Nevada, stated LVMPD Sheriff Kevin McMahill, citing sources from local outlets KLAS and the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The office building located on Pavilion Center Drive and Charleston in this suburban district of Clark County was the hub of chaos when reports first came in of the shooting at approximately 10 a.m. local time, LVMPD informed via X (previously Twitter).

Law enforcement officers evacuated hundreds of individuals from the multi-story office building where the law office is housed on the fifth floor. The shooter’s vehicle is currently being investigated in the office complex’s parking garage as efforts are being made to establish the motive for this dreadful act, Sheriff McMahill stated.

Sheriff McMahill also shared, “We have a theory at this point, but I cannot release any of that information until we’ve confirmed that information.” He divulged that the deceased victims were a man and a woman, although their identities have been withheld for now. Also kept under wraps is the identity of the shooter and the nature of his relationship with the victims.

The involvement of the deceased victims as employees of the law firm remains uncertain. The Las Vegas Review-Journal informed that a gathering area for the victims’ families has been established on the fifth floor of the nearby Red Rock Resort.
