Three-year-old twins found dead in a car on a busy highway

MIAMI, FL – A tragic incident unfolded early Friday when three-year-old twins were found unresponsive in a parked car alongside Interstate 95 in Miami, resulting in their untimely deaths. The female driver, upon the arrival of the police, critically injured herself by jumping off an overpass.

The incident sparked an investigation that led to traffic congestion north of Downtown Miami, causing delays for commuter trains.

Miami-Dade County Police reported receiving 911 calls around 2 a.m. regarding a boy and girl in the backseat of a car parked on the Golden Glades Interchange, a junction where I-95 meets Florida’s Turnpike. This location is known as one of South Florida’s busiest traffic spots. Bystanders were attempting CPR when the authorities arrived.

Upon the arrival of the police and fire-rescue teams, the woman jumped from the overpass onto the train tracks below. The children were rushed to the hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. The cause of their deaths has not been disclosed. The woman was also hospitalized and is reported to be in critical condition.
