Touchscreen Issue Fix for Samsung Galaxy S23 Linked to Google App – Temporary Solution Offered by Samsung to Resolve Problem

Seoul, South Korea – Samsung Galaxy S23 users are experiencing frustrating touchscreen issues after receiving the latest One UI 6.1 update in late March. Many users have reported difficulties in touch input and the need to tap multiple times to register a touch properly. Samsung has acknowledged the problem, attributing it to the Google app’s Discover feed located to the left of the leftmost home screen.

The Korean company has revealed that Google is aware of the problem and is actively working on a permanent fix. In the meantime, Samsung has provided a temporary solution for affected users. By clearing the Google app’s data and restarting the device, users should see improvements in touch response on their screens.

To clear the Google app’s data, users can navigate to Settings, then Apps, locate Google, go to Storage, and select Clear data. This process may require users to log back into their Google account afterwards. It is expected that Google will address the issue with an app update in the near future, so ensuring automatic updates are enabled in the Play Store is recommended. Users can also manually update all apps through the Play Store by accessing their profile icon, selecting Manage apps and device, and hitting the Update all button.

The temporary fix provided by Samsung aims to alleviate the touchscreen issues experienced by Galaxy S23 users until Google releases a permanent solution. In the meantime, users are advised to take the necessary steps to improve touch input on their devices. Stay updated with automatic app updates enabled to ensure prompt resolution of the touchscreen problem.
