Town goes into lockdown after 3 people were killed in carjacking

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA – A shelter-in-place order has been put into effect in Falls Township, Pennsylvania. This order was put in place after a presumed carjacking ended in the untimely deaths of three victims.

With the suspect still armed and at large, local events have been canceled, including the town’s St. Patrick’s Day parade. Additionally, businesses have been closed because of the shelter-in-place order.

Local law enforcement became alert to the situation early Saturday morning. Three people are confirmed to be dead, and officials believe they were victims of a carjacking carried out by an unidentified assailant. Their attacker is now reportedly traveling in a silver Honda CRV.

The suspect, labeled as an “active shooter” by authorities, is reported to be armed with multiple long guns. Resources from neighboring areas in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey State Police have been called upon to assist the local police in their arrest of the shooting suspect.

Attempts to get a comment from the Falls Township Police Department on the ongoing situation were unsuccessful. Residents have been advised to stay indoors in order to maintain their safety as the local administration works towards apprehending the suspect and restoring order to the community.
