Tragic Crash: Male Driver Killed After Colliding with Deputy in San Bernardino County – Investigation Ongoing!

San Bernardino County authorities are currently investigating a fatal crash involving a driver and a deputy that took place on Saturday. The incident occurred on Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley.

The collision occurred when a Toyota Corolla driver, who was turning left into a parking lot, crashed into the deputy’s vehicle while the latter was responding to a service call with emergency lights and sirens activated. Tragically, the Toyota driver, only identified as a male, died on impact from the crash.

The deputy, on the other hand, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Both vehicles involved in the crash suffered severe front-end damage, as depicted in videos taken at the scene. Bystanders gathered around the crash site, which was situated between shopping plazas.

Following the crash, Bear Valley Road had to be shut down between Kiowa Road and Snapping Turtle for several hours to allow authorities to clear the wreckage. The investigation into the fatal incident is still ongoing.
