London, England – The recent tragic death of Thomas Kingston, husband of Lady Gabriella Kingston, has shocked many, with an inquest revealing the cause of death to be a traumatic head wound. The incident took place at his parents’ home in the Cotswolds, where a gun was discovered near his body.
Mr. Kingston, aged 45, was known as the son-in-law of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, with his passing on February 25. The inquest into his death began on Friday at the Gloucestershire Coroner’s Court, where it was determined that his death was not deemed suspicious, and no others were involved.
A prominent figure, Mr. Kingston was a director at a private equity firm and had previous experience working with the Foreign Office in Baghdad, Iraq. Described as an exceptional man, he was married to Lady Gabriella in 2019 during a ceremony attended by Queen Elizabeth II.
Following his untimely death, Buckingham Palace released a statement expressing condolences, with Lady Gabriella praising her late husband for the light he brought into the lives of those around him. The royals, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, extended their heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Mr. Kingston’s family.
In the lead up to his death, Mr. Kingston had lunch with his parents before his father discovered him missing from the house. After searching, his father found him in an outbuilding, deceased with a severe head injury and a gun present. Lady Gabriella, who is a member of the Royal Family but not a working royal, is currently receiving support from the royal household.
As the investigation into Mr. Kingston’s death continues, no funeral plans have been announced. Prince and Princess Michael recently attended a service for the late King Constantine II of Greece, Lady Gabriella’s godfather, who had also attended her wedding to Mr. Kingston.
