Tragic Ending: ‘Yellowstone’ Actor Cole Brings Plenty Found Dead After Domestic Violence Disappearance

Kansas City, Kansas – Actor Cole Brings Plenty, known for his work on the “Yellowstone” spinoff “1923,” was found dead after being reported missing amidst a domestic violence investigation. Authorities discovered his body in a wooded area about 43 miles southwest of Kansas City.

Deputies were dispatched to check on an unoccupied vehicle near Kansas City and found the 27-year-old actor’s body. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident, withholding details on the nature of the death.

Brings Plenty was last seen driving south from Lawrence, Kansas, following a domestic violence incident. Family and friends, including his uncle Moses Brings Plenty, who also appears on “1923,” raised awareness and expressed concerns over his disappearance.

Lawrence police had been in touch with Brings Plenty’s family and were following leads to locate him. The district attorney’s office mentioned an affidavit for his arrest but couldn’t release details unless formal charges were filed.

Paramount Network’s “Yellowstone,” known for its success since its launch in 2018, has spawned spinoffs like Paramount+’s “1923,” in which Brings Plenty starred. The family members on the franchise shows draw on their Lakota heritage to create Indigenous characters.

In a statement, Joe Brings Plenty confirmed his son’s death and thanked everyone who helped in the search. Family and loved ones will now focus on moving forward following this tragic loss.
