Tragic: Family of Slain Man Found in Los Angeles Park Speaks Out – Two Arrested in Connection

Los Angeles, California – The family of a 28-year-old single father found dead in MacArthur Park’s lake is speaking out after two arrests were made in connection with his death.

Kyle Sherwood, the victim, was discovered floating face down in the lake just before 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, medical personnel declared him deceased at the scene.

Later that day, homicide detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department revealed that city cameras near the park had captured two suspects pushing Sherwood, who was still alive at the time, into the lake. The suspects were arrested the following day, but their identities remain undisclosed.

Sherwood, a former state wrestling champion and sheet metal worker, had been battling mental health issues and opioid addiction. He had sought help in Los Angeles at the Dream Center in May. However, just two days into the program, he vanished, leaving his family in Washington State feeling helpless.

Despite their efforts to reach out to the LAPD, no response was received. The family even attempted to file a missing persons report with the Dream Center without success.

It wasn’t until they received a mysterious phone call that they discovered Sherwood’s whereabouts. The caller informed them of his presence in MacArthur Park, describing it as a dangerous area. Witnesses later revealed that there was a violent altercation in the park, leading to Sherwood’s tragic death.

While authorities have not disclosed a motive, they are treating Sherwood’s death as a potential homicide. The family is left grieving the loss of a loving father and son, seeking justice for his untimely demise.
