London, England – Thomas Kingston, the husband of Lady Gabriella Windsor, was tragically found dead at his parents’ home in a Cotswold village. The 45-year-old financier was discovered with a “catastrophic head injury” and a gun close to his body, according to the senior coroner for Gloucestershire, Katy Skerrett.
Kingston, who was the son-in-law of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, had lunch with his parents before his body was found in an outbuilding. A post-mortem revealed a preliminary cause of death as a “traumatic wound to the head.”
During the inquest into Kingston’s death, Skerrett shared that he was visiting his parents’ home on February 25th before the tragic incident occurred. His father, noticing his absence, found Kingston with a severe head injury in the outbuilding while a gun was present at the scene. Emergency services were called, and the police determined that the death was not suspicious.
Kingston, known as Tom, had a history as a hostage negotiator in Iraq and worked at the Foreign Office after studying economic history at the University of Bristol. He showed immense bravery during his time in Iraq, surviving a suicide bombing in Baghdad in 2004.
Returning to the UK, Kingston pursued a career in finance, ultimately working as a director at Devonport Capital. His parents, both devout Christians, have been involved in various charitable and religious organizations.
Kingston married Lady Gabriella Windsor in 2019 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, with the ceremony attended by members of the royal family. Lady Gabriella described her late husband as “an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him.” Buckingham Palace expressed condolences to the family, highlighting Kingston’s role as a beloved member of their family.
