The incident occurred when Decoff’s vehicle and another vehicle stopped along the route, resulting in a confrontation between the occupants.
According to authorities, the other vehicle’s driver, 36-year-old Ryan Sweatt of Milford, made a sudden U-turn at a high speed, striking Decoff on the road. Despite being rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Decoff ultimately succumbed to her wounds. Following the tragic event, Decoff’s mother took to Facebook to announce the heartbreaking news of her daughter’s passing.
During a court appearance in Framingham, Sweatt appeared surprised as the prosecutor detailed the extent of Decoff’s injuries, expressing doubts about her survival.
