Travis Kelce Donates $100,000 to Shooting Survivors – Here’s How His Generosity is Making a Difference!

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end Travis Kelce is making a difference in the lives of the survivors of the tragic shooting at the team’s Super Bowl victory parade. The shooting, which occurred on Feb. 14, resulted in one fatality and 22 injuries, including two young girls from the Reyes family.

Kelce’s organization, Eighty-Seven Running, confirmed that they donated two separate amounts of $50,000 each to a GoFundMe campaign aimed at providing financial assistance to the Reyes family. The organization, founded by Kelce in 2015, focuses on mentoring and motivating underserved youth to develop their abilities and critical life skills.

Expressing his heartbreak over the tragic event, Kelce took to social media to convey his sorrow and support for the Kansas City community, stating that the city meant the world to him. The Reyes family also provided an update on their two daughters, aged 8 and 10, who sustained leg injuries and underwent surgery to treat their gunshot wounds, leaving them in casts for several months.

In addition to Kelce’s generous donation, the two girls were visited by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes. The support doesn’t end there, as pop star Taylor Swift also made a generous donation of $100,000 to the family of another victim who was fatally shot in the incident.

The shooting, which left at least half of the 22 injured individuals under the age of 16, has resulted in the charging of two juveniles in connection with the incident. As the police investigation continues, additional charges are expected to be filed in the case.

Overall, the generosity and support extended to the victims of this senseless act of violence highlight the resilience and sense of community in Kansas City in the face of such a tragic event.
