Kansas City, MO – Travis Kelce, the three-time Super Bowl champ, is making a splash on the small screen with his first acting role in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX series, “Grotesquerie.” The news of Kelce’s venture into acting was revealed by his co-star Niecy Nash on social media.
Nash, known for her Emmy-winning role in “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” shared a fun clip on Instagram teasing her collaboration with Kelce in the new series. Kelce, in response, expressed his excitement about stepping into a new world with one of the legends.
The upcoming series, which also stars Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville, has just started production. As with many Ryan Murphy projects, details about the series and its plot remain under wraps for now.
Scheduled for a fall premiere, “Grotesquerie” will coincide with Kelce’s 12th season in the NFL. This new acting endeavor adds to Kelce’s Hollywood portfolio, which includes hosting “Saturday Night Live” and making cameos on various shows.
In addition to his acting pursuits, Kelce also co-hosts the popular sports podcast “New Heights” with his brother Jason Kelce. He recently earned his first executive producer credit for the film “My Dead Friend Zoe,” which premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival.
Kelce’s next projects include producing a documentary on artist Jean-Michel Basquiat titled “King Pleasure” and hosting the game show “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” to be streamed on Prime Video.
