Tribeca Festival Announces Star-Studded Lineup – Featuring Kristen Stewart, Jenna Ortega, and Lily Gladstone

New York City, USA – The Tribeca Festival has unveiled its lineup for the 2024 edition, showcasing a diverse array of world premieres and documentaries. Opening with the highly anticipated premiere of Hulu documentary “Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge”, directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Trish Dalton, the festival promises an exciting array of films and discussions.

Among the highlights of this year’s features lineup are documentaries exploring the lives and legacies of iconic figures such as Liza Minnelli, Harry Belafonte, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Ani DiFranco, Linda Perry, and Avicii. Additionally, the festival will feature the New York premiere of Dawn Porter’s Luther Vandross documentary, “Never Too Much”.

Notable screenings at the Tribeca Festival include “Jazzy” starring Lily Gladstone, “Daddio” featuring Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn, and “Firebrand” with Alicia Vikander and Jude Law. The festival will also showcase “Sacramento” directed by Michael Angarano, as well as psychological thriller “McVeigh” based on the Oklahoma City bombing.

In addition to film screenings, the festival will premiere two comedian-centric documentaries: “Group Therapy”, produced by Kevin Hart and featuring Neil Patrick Harris, Mike Birbiglia, and Tig Notaro, and “Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution” with Lily Tomlin, Wanda Sykes, Rosie O’Donnell, Hannah Gadsby, and Joel Kim Booster.

Tribeca Festival co-founder and CEO Jane Rosenthal expressed excitement for the 23rd edition, highlighting the festival’s role in capturing the essence of the present moment through storytelling. Festival director Cara Cusumano praised the filmmaking community for delivering exceptional work despite industry challenges, emphasizing the power of film to illuminate various aspects of our world.

This year’s festival boasts a lineup of 103 feature films from 114 filmmakers across 48 countries, selected from over 13,000 submissions. With a strong representation of women and filmmakers of diverse backgrounds, the festival aims to showcase a wide range of perspectives and voices. The 2024 Tribeca Festival is scheduled to take place from June 5-16 in New York City.
