Triple shooting leaves three victims dead, including 12-year-old child

The city of Philadelphia is grappling with a horrific incident of violence. Police are on the hunt for a shooter who tragically ended the lives of three individuals, including a 12-year-old child.

The dreadful episode unfolded shortly after 2 p.m. on a Thursday on East Locust Avenue, located in the Germantown neighborhood of the city.

On arriving at the scene, responding officers discovered two men – one in his 40s and the other in his 30s – who had sustained gunshot wounds. Shortly afterward, they found the 12-year-old child, who had also been shot, not far from the location of the injured men.

Following the incident, all three victims were rushed to a nearby hospital. Sadly, none of them survived the injuries. Police revealed that at least 12 gunshots were detected at the scene of the crime.

Frank Vanore, Deputy Commissioner of Investigations, explained that the two adults were found close to Crowson Street, while the child was discovered near his home, indicating that he might have attempted to flee after being shot. The authorities are currently investigating the possibility of a vehicle’s involvement in the crime.

At this point, the search is on for at least one shooter. The police are seeking more information to help with their investigation and have urged anyone with knowledge about the incident to come forward.
