Two dead after car crashes into house

PEORIA, AZ – A vehicle lost control and rammed into a residential home in Peoria, Arizona. This led to a horrifying accident that resulted in the death of two young adults and injuries to four others.

Aiden Ellis, aged 19, and Shane Johnson, aged 20, lost their lives in the devastating accident that occurred on April 14. Johnson was declared dead at the location of the mishap, while Ellis breathed his last at the hospital. Ellis’ father mourned the loss of his son on social media.

Among those gravely injured is 18-year-old Grand Canyon University student, Zalia Oliva, who suffered from major spinal injuries. The police report also noted that one more individual had life-threatening injuries, whereas the rest were seriously hurt.

Investigators believe that the driver did not stop at a stop signal, causing the 2018 black Infiniti Q60 to collide with a house. Images captured at the site revealed the car submerged partially in the house after smashing the block wall. Miraculously, no injuries were reported from those residing in the house.

The investigation is being conducted by the Traffic Services Unit of Peoria Police Department, with detectives eager to ascertain if excess speed or substance impairment was a contributing factor.

As of now, Ellis’ family remembers him as a generous and kind young man who had just celebrated his 19th birthday. He was an enthusiastic college student, a Harley Davidson lover, and an organ donor, expected to save lives even in his passing.

Oliva, who is fighting for her life after incurring serious injuries, including fractures to her skull, neck, face, a broken pelvis, and arm, aspires to be a police officer. Her family has set up a GoFundMe page to support her medical expenses and their stay in Arizona.

Further details about the other survivors are still awaited.
