Two kids, ages 7 and 12, arrested for stabbing woman

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – On Saturday, police in northwest Harris County took two boys, aged 7 and 12, into custody in relation to the stabbing of a 59-year-old woman, according to official reports.

As per the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the stabbing incident transpired at a home located on April Valley Court just past 2 p.m. The boys allegedly returned home following a potential verbal confrontation with the woman, which subsequently escalated into the violent act.

The authorities noted that the boys ran away from the house after the stabbing. Meanwhile, the woman, who suffered multiple stab wounds to her abdominal area, received medical attention and was airlifted to a hospital.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted on social media that the woman is now in surgery and remains in critical condition.

Sergio Torres, a spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, spoke out about the incident. Asserting that the attack seemed to stem from “just a verbal altercation,” Torres also mentioned the woman’s injuries and her current medical condition.

At this juncture, the identity of the boy alleged to have committed the stabbing remains unclear. Local reports suggest that charges are being pressed against the 12-year-old. However, the sheriff’s office hasn’t confirmed such information.
