Update Patch for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in the Works to Fix Visual Quality Issue – Director Confirms

Tokyo, Japan – Fans of “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth” can anticipate an upcoming update patch aimed at enhancing the visual quality in performance mode, according to director Naoki Hamaguchi. The game’s development team is responding to player feedback, particularly addressing concerns about facial lighting. While no specific release date has been confirmed, Hamaguchi expressed confidence that the patch would be available soon.

Hamaguchi stated, “We’ve received a lot of feedback on whether the graphics in the performance mode will be improved or not. We hear you, and we are currently working on an update patch to improve that aspect. I don’t think the release date would be far away from now.” Addressing another issue, he added, “We have heard from players that in certain situations, the facial lighting makes some character shadows look very scary. So that’s one part of the update that we are working on.”

“Final Fantasy VII Rebirth” serves as the sequel to the initial installment in the “Final Fantasy VII Remake” trilogy. Set to explore new territories beyond the first game, players can expect additions like playable characters Cait Sith and Red XIII, with Vincent making an appearance. The iconic Gold Saucer will be a central location offering various mini-games for players to enjoy.

Noteworthy gameplay enhancements include a revamped Junon infiltration mini-game where players can instruct soldiers on specific formations. Additionally, players can control Sephiroth during the Nibelheim flashback sequence. Combat dynamics have been revamped with the introduction of new synergy attacks involving multiple party members, along with Red XIII’s unique revenge gauge mechanic.

Exclusive to PlayStation 5, “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth” promises an immersive gaming experience for fans of the beloved franchise. Players can delve into the world of Midgar and beyond, exploring new storylines and engaging in thrilling battles. With the upcoming patch in the works, enthusiasts can look forward to an even more visually impressive gameplay experience in the near future.
