LAS VEGAS – Singer Usher and longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony over the weekend, sources reported. The wedding coincided with Usher’s performance at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show. Details of the ceremony date were not immediately available, but it was confirmed that the couple arrived at Usher’s Super Bowl afterparty in matching white wedding looks from a private ceremony.
Music producer Bryan-Michael Cox congratulated the newlyweds at the intimate Usher x Rémy Martin dinner party in Las Vegas. Usher, wearing what appeared to be a wedding ring, expressed his happiness and anticipation of taking his upcoming performances on tour.
The couple had obtained a marriage license days before the big game, where Usher performed at the halftime show, featuring Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and other special guests. This new venture comes as Usher announced a Las Vegas residency for 2021, saying “It’s just the beginning. It’s a victory lap for 100 sold-out shows in Las Vegas.” Usher and Goicoechea also share two children, a daughter named Sovereign and a son named Sire.
Usher’s relationship with Goicoechea, an Epic Records executive, began in 2019, and they welcomed their first child, Sovereign, in September 2020. Goicoechea gave birth to their son, Sire, in November 2021. Usher also has two sons, Usher V and Naviyd, from his first marriage to Tameka Foster.
As seen in photos obtained by Page Six, Usher wore a white floor-length coat adorned with jewels, while Goicoechea opted for an off-the-shoulder pantsuit, cream-colored gloves, and white-framed sunglasses, accessorized with three gold statement necklaces, including a cross and a “U” pendant for the R&B singer.
Usher’s involvement in the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show and his subsequent wedding highlight an eventful period for the Grammy-winning singer and his growing family.
