Venom: The Last Dance Official Title Revealed – New Release Date Announced!

Los Angeles, California – Sony Pictures has officially announced the title and earlier release date of the latest installment in the Tom Hardy-led Venom franchise. The film, titled “Venom: The Last Dance,” will hit theaters on October 25, moving up two weeks from its previous release date of November 8.

Directed by Kelly Marcel, who also wrote the script, “Venom: The Last Dance” stars Tom Hardy, Juno Temple, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. The story is credited to Marcel and Hardy, with a production team that includes Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.

Tom Hardy reprises his role as the Marvel antagonist he originated in 2018’s “Venom,” with Andy Serkis taking over directing duties for the 2021 follow-up “Venom: Let There Be Carnage.” This marks Marcel’s feature directorial debut after earning writing credits on both earlier films.

“Venom: The Last Dance” will be the third film in the Venom franchise to be released in October, a pre-Halloween slot that has proven successful for the series. The first film grossed over $850 million globally, while the sequel surpassed the $500 million mark worldwide.

Hardy took to social media in November to announce the resumption of production on “Venom: The Last Dance” after a break due to an actors strike. Originally planned for a June 2024 release, the film was rescheduled to November due to the labor stoppage.

In a statement, Hardy referred to the film as the “last dance” and expressed gratitude for the support of his team. “Venom: The Last Dance” is the latest addition to the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters, following the underperformance of “Madame Web,” which was released last month.

Overall, the Venom franchise continues to captivate audiences with its blend of action, humor, and compelling performances. “Venom: The Last Dance” promises to deliver another thrilling installment in the series, building on the success of its predecessors.
