Wade Jr. Returns as Giants Face Dodgers: Injury Updates Revealed

San Francisco – The Giants have brought back outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. from the Injured List ahead of their series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Infielders Thairo Estrada and Wilmer Flores were placed on the IL to make room for Wade on the roster. Additionally, shortstop Tyler Fitzgerald has been called up from Triple-A Sacramento.

Wade, who had been sidelined since May 28 due to a hamstring injury, has recently completed a rehab assignment with Sacramento. Giants manager Bob Melvin expressed his excitement about having Wade back in the lineup, highlighting his performance as one of the top left-handed hitters in the National League.

Before his injury, Wade had been a key player for the Giants, batting .333 with two home runs, 17 RBIs, and an impressive .896 OPS in 52 games. In contrast, Estrada, who leads the team with 39 RBIs and is tied for second with nine home runs, has been struggling at the plate, batting just .164 over his last 18 games.

In other injury news, pitcher Kyle Harrison, who was dealing with an ankle injury, showed positive progress in a recent bullpen session. Similarly, Alex Cobb is set to make a rehab start with Single-A San Jose after completing a bullpen session on Friday.

The Giants’ lineup against the Dodgers features Wade at first base and batting second, adding depth and experience to the team. With key players returning from injuries and others stepping up to fill their roles, the Giants are looking to maintain their competitive edge in their upcoming games.
