Waffle House shooting kills 19-year-old entertainer

COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio police are engaged in a manhunt for a 19-year-old accused of murdering an Atlanta man outside a Waffle House earlier this week. According to reports, responding officers arrived at a shooting scene outside a Waffle House near Ohio State University around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, where they discovered 38-year-old Ronald Diggs suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Diggs was swiftly taken to a local hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his wounds. Investigators believe that an argument that initiated inside the Waffle House escalated and led to the fatal shooting outside on the street.

The suspect, Jaquan Curry, aged 19, is actively being sought by authorities on a murder charge.

Diggs had reportedly come to Columbus to participate in a performance at an event in the city’s arts district. Robbie Rickard, one of Diggs’ friends, maintained that Diggs was uninvolved in the altercation that resulted in his death. Rickard claims that his friend was merely a victim of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Police plead for public assistance in revealing any information on Diggs’s murder or Curry’s whereabouts, urging them to contact the Columbus Police Homicide Unit or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers.
