Los Angeles, CA – “Stranger Things” actor Matthew Modine announced that he will officiate the wedding of co-star Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi. Modine, known for his role as Dr. Martin Brenner in the Netflix series, shared that Brown and Bongiovi requested his services for their special day after obtaining a marriage officiant license.

Having previously officiated one wedding ceremony, Modine expressed his joy at being able to unite the couple in marriage. Brown and Bongiovi, who have been dating since 2021, announced their engagement in 2023. The date for their wedding ceremony has not yet been disclosed.

In a February appearance on The Tonight Show, Brown shared the romantic underwater proposal story from Bongiovi, where he presented her with a ring inside a shell while diving. Despite a heart-stopping moment when the ring slipped off her finger underwater, Bongiovi retrieved the ring and proposed again with a ring belonging to Brown’s mother once they reached the surface.

At the age of 20, Brown rose to fame as a child star on “Stranger Things,” with the upcoming fifth season marking the show’s conclusion. On the other hand, Bongiovi, 21, son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, is carving out his acting career with roles in films like Rockbottom.

Modine, a veteran actor known for his roles in iconic movies like Full Metal Jacket and The Dark Knight Rises, is set to play a pivotal role in officiating the union of two young stars in Hollywood. The couple’s decision to include a beloved co-star in their wedding ceremony adds a special touch to their union, solidifying their bond both on and off-screen.
