“Witcher” Season 5 Confirmed by Netflix as Season 4 Production Begins – Exciting Casting News Revealed!

Los Angeles, California – Netflix has confirmed that the popular fantasy drama series, The Witcher, has been renewed for a fifth and final season. This announcement comes as production for the fourth season of the show is currently underway in the UK.

The news of the renewal for the fifth season coincides with the start of filming for the penultimate season of The Witcher. Fans have been given a glimpse of the new and returning cast members during a recent table read, including Liam Hemsworth, who will be taking on the role of Geralt of Rivia in the upcoming season.

One of the new cast additions for the fourth season is Laurence Fishburne, who will be portraying the fan-favorite character Regis. The upcoming seasons will continue to adapt Andrzej Sapkowski’s books, concluding with Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake.

Showrunner and executive producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich expressed excitement about the upcoming seasons, stating, “It is with huge pride that we begin shooting our penultimate Season of The Witcher with a stellar cast, including some exciting new additions, led by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia.”

The fourth season of The Witcher will pick up after the events of the third season, with Henry Cavill’s Geralt facing new challenges before Hemsworth’s Geralt joins Yennefer and Ciri on a journey across a war-torn land.

Executive producers Steve Gaub and Tomek Baginski have teased a unique “meta” transition to Hemsworth’s Geralt character, following Cavill’s departure from the show. The upcoming season will also see the return of series regulars Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, and Joey Batey.

While the release date for the fourth season has yet to be announced, fans are eagerly anticipating the continuation of the epic saga as filming progresses. Stay tuned for more updates on The Witcher as the story unfolds.
