Woman attacks elderly couple in violent shooting

MARYSVILLE, WA – In a shocking confrontation, a 58-year-old woman allegedly shot her parent and their partner. This shooting took place after a domestic dispute, as reported by Marysville Police Department. The violent incident unfolded just before 8 p.m. Monday evening on 53rd Ave NE.

Upon arrival, police discovered a 73-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman with gunshot injuries. The injured individuals were promptly transported to Providence Medical Center in Everett. The condition of the victims is uncertain, though medical intervention is anticipated for the 83-year-old.

The severity of gunshot wounds can be alarming, especially for the elderly, which could lead to tragic outcomes, according to MPD Public Information Officer Robb Lamoureux. He added that these scenarios can become perilous when family emotions run high and result in unpredictable actions.

Following the incident, police placed the alleged shooter: the 58-year-old daughter of one victim, in custody. She is confirmed to be living with the elderly couple. The relationship between the shooter and the victims is yet to be determined. The alleged shooter lives with the elderly victims, but it is unclear which victim is the shooter’s parent.

As the investigation goes underway, the MPD is on the course to obtain a warrant to search the site of the disturbance. Once they obtain a warrant, police plan on gathering evidence for the case.
