SACRAMENTO, CA — A woman was killed and another woman was hospitalized after a shooting Saturday afternoon along Arden Way in Sacramento, police said, prompting a homicide investigation as authorities worked to determine who was responsible.
Sacramento police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of Arden Way at about 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. Officers arrived and found two women suffering from gunshot wounds. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second was taken to a hospital. Police had not released the hospitalized woman’s condition as of early Sunday.
