Woman repeatedly stabbed in store parking lot

CULVER CITY, CA – A man was taken into custody for attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed a woman multiple times at a Culver City store’s parking lot in the middle of the day.

According to police, the incident took place around 2:45 PM on Sunday in the 6100 block of Slauson Avenue. The investigation suggests that the 38-year-old suspect approached and repeatedly stabbed the woman in the parking lot before attempting to escape on foot.

After the attack, the woman was promptly rushed to the hospital, where she is currently reported to be stable.

The suspect’s identity has been withheld. After the crime, authorities found him concealed in the bushes of a park near Hannum and Slauson Avenues, leading to his arrest.

The knife suspected to be the weapon used during the attack was found at the crime scene.

Investigations regarding the motive of this assault are ongoing. Officials have not yet revealed any relationship between the victim and the suspect.
