BREAKING: Coach Shakeups – Find Out Who’s In and Who’s Out in College Basketball!

Bryant, Rhode Island – After a tumultuous season in college basketball coaching changes, various teams across the country are looking to make shifts in leadership to improve their programs. From the America East to the West Coast Conference, several schools have parted ways with their head coaches in hopes of revamping their basketball programs.

One notable change occurred at Bryant University, where Jared Grasso was replaced by Phil Martelli Jr. after a season that saw the Bulldogs secure a big win in November. The Bulldogs finished third in the America East with a 19-12 record, prompting the change in leadership at the start of the new season.

Similarly, John Smith’s tenure at Cal Poly came to an end after managing only 30 wins in five seasons, underscoring the need for a reevaluation of the coaching staff to elevate the program. In another move, Canisius let go of Reggie Witherspoon after eight seasons, highlighting the challenge of attracting top talent to a program with a long gap since its last successful season in 1996.

Over at Coastal Carolina, the retirement of Cliff Ellis prompted the promotion of Justin Gray to lead the team. Ellis, known for his illustrious career with 831 career NCAA victories, decided to retire in December, leading to a change in leadership dynamics at the university.

In the Horizon League, the departure of Matt Crenshaw from IUPUI paved the way for Paul Corsaro to take over the helm. Crenshaw’s inability to steer the team to success in a competitive conference prompted the university to seek new leadership to drive the program forward.

These coaching changes signify a period of transition and renewal for college basketball programs across the country, as schools seek to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of collegiate athletics and position themselves for success in the upcoming seasons.
