DragTimes recently brought these high-performance sedans together for a quarter-mile drag race to determine which is the quickest production sedan on the market.
In a previous acceleration clip, the Lucid Air Sapphire managed to reach 60 mph in just 1.77 seconds, showcasing its impressive power of 1,234 horsepower on a prepped surface at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. With the Model S Plaid boasting 1,020 hp, the showdown promised to be thrilling.
The Model S Plaid, known for its speed with previous nine-second quarter-mile passes, faced stiff competition from the Lucid Air Sapphire. In the showdown, driver Brooks red-lighted in the first run, giving the win to the Lucid driver.
