Man shoots ex-wife, her new husband, and himself in shopping plaza

LILBURN, GA – A tragic incident of domestic violence unfolded in Georgia where a man reportedly shot his believed ex-wife and her recent husband before turning the gun on himself in a shopping plaza on Saturday night. Lilburn Police reported that the suspect, a 62-year-old male, walked into Tana Food Mart in the Merchants Walk Plaza on Lawrenceville Highway, armed with a pistol.

The proponent of the incident proceeded to shoot a 57-year-old woman, presumed to be his ex-wife, alongside another man of his age. Both victims were known to work at the store. The male victim in the incident was shot in the leg.

The suspect subsequently inflicted a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head after shooting the couple. Local police reported that he and the male victim were immediately transferred to Northside Gwinnett Hospital to receive necessary medical attention.

The suspect was in critical condition and was not expected to survive the injuries. The male victim, on the other hand, was stable following interventions on his leg injury.

Lilburn Police have refrained from the public identification of the trio owing to pending notifications of their respective families. Preliminary information indicates that an argument had ensued amongst the three before the suspect resorted to violence, shooting the victims and himself.

The investigation into this domestic violence incident is currently ongoing.
